Mental Health First Aid

January 31, 2026

I recently completed a Mental Health First Aid training, and I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to "be there" for others. ❤️

The biggest lesson for me from taking this course? Pay attention. It’s so easy to move through our days on autopilot, but we miss so much when we don't take the time to really notice the people in front of us. My goal moving forward—both on the stage and in my daily life—is to:
✨ Notice more. Look past the "I'm fine" and see the person.
✨ Lead with compassion. Give grace not judgment.
✨ Listen with intent. Turn off the internal "reply" button and just be present.

We are all walking through things that don't show up on a resume or a status update. A little intentional listening can change someone’s entire week.

Has anyone else taken a Mental Health First Aid training? I’d love to hear your biggest takeaways below! 👇
